How we do it

- 2Tear down the damaged courses above that line, saving reusable brick where matching matters.
- 3Rebuild with weathering-rated brick and mortar matched to the original in composition and color.
- 4Pour a new crown, install or reset the cap, and rebuild the flashing to seal the roof connection.
- 5Clean the work and review the finished chimney with you.

How long does a chimney rebuild take?

Will a rebuild stop my chimney from leaking?
A rebuild addresses the masonry, crown, and flashing together, which resolves the most common leak sources. If the leak is coming from somewhere else — the roof, the attic, or the flue liner — we point that out so you are not paying for masonry that will not fix it.
Is a rebuild covered by homeowners insurance?
